Having etiquette on the golf course is a very important skill for any golfer to have. There are certain things that every golfer must know on the golf course, being respectful to your playing partners is key to being an enjoyable person to play with.
1. Don’t Step In Someone’s Line
Stepping in someone’s line is a quick way to make them dislike you. it’s the biggest pet peeve ever and every golfer hates it when it happens to them. So one thing you should do is always be aware of where people marked their ball.

2. Always Take The Flag Out
Always take the flag out whenever you play, it’s very important to be the one who takes the flag out first because people really appreciate it. Also, if your the first one done the hole always be the one to grab the flag and wait till everyone is done and then put the flag in. Obviously due to the new rules of golf in 2019, if no one would like to putt with the flag in then you should take it out.
3. Don’t Take Long
One of the pet peeves that I think every golfer has is when one of the players take way too long to hit one shot. Remember when people are hitting their shot, do all your pre-shot routine techniques and all your other preparations so that you will take less time when your turn arrives. Just as long as you aware of your surroundings and how long you are taking you will be fine.

4. Don’t Talk Too Much
One thing to always remember is don’t ever talk during someones swing, it’s really annoying and you’ll be remembered in an awful way. Also, during the round, it’s very important to establish a good relationship with your playing partner. So avoid talking about yourself too much and instead ask a lot of questions and get to know him/her. Everyone likes to get complimented about their swing or shots so don’t forget to throw a few compliments.

5. Always Mark Your Ball
Always mark your ball whenever you go on the green! If there is anything you’re going to take away from this article, it should be to always mark your ball. Mark it with a coin, just grab a bunch and put them in your golf bag so you don’t have to worry about it all the time. No one likes it when there is a ball on the green which hasn’t been marked. Just remember, ALWAYS MARK Your Ball!
